Michael Dempster is a PhD student at the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of Ulster. His research area is using statistical analysis of soil geochemistry to investigate glacial ice flow directions in the North of Ireland. The project will utilise soil geochemical datasets from both the Tellus project undertaken in Northern Ireland and the Tellus Border project in the Republic of Ireland. Michaels project highlights the importance of the Tellus Border project in cross-border environmental studies.
